The Ortho Institute in Gendringen (Gelderland, Netherlands), headed up by dr. Gert E. Schuitemaker, is the number one orthomolecular centre of expertise in the Netherlands. Since 1983, this institute has been closely monitoring developments in the field of nutrition and health. International scientific literature is intensively studied on a daily basis. We select research on the basis of an orthomolecular, holistic vision. Nutrition, vitamins and minerals play a leading role in this approach, but attention is also focused on factors such as living habits and movement. Both positive and negative reports are published.
